Glossary term
Adhesive Encapsulation
Liquants' proprietary seam technology that encapsulates adhesive into a laser-prepared seam surface to create a fused, barrier-integral bond.
Definition
Unlike surface-only bonding, Adhesive Encapsulation prepares the seam surface via laser before the adhesive is applied — creating a seam where the adhesive is integrated into the fabric structure.
Seam widths across 4–9mm are available, selected to match the application's mechanical and barrier requirements.
Why it matters to DSEAMS
Adhesive Encapsulation is the core Liquants LLC innovation, protected by a provisional patent application in the U.S.
