The problem

Bonding at a surface level is not the same as fusing at a molecular level — the latter is what determines true long-term seam integrity.

Traditional approach

Conventional tape bonding sits on the face of the laminate and relies on surface adhesion. Over time and cycles, surface adhesion fatigues.
