For decades, performance textiles and membrane technologies have developed considerably. However, construction techniques have not changed in over 50 years. Seams are traditionally sewn, puncturing the barrier membrane, which is then seam-taped to ‘patch-up’ the problem.
COHESIVE “CIBS” is a revolutionary, patented internal seam construction, that uses a hidden seam-adhesive layer sandwiched between the outer shell and lining fabrics to create a protective barrier. The system never degrades the performance of the textile and creates a uniform composite structure across the entire product.
This is achieved by using an innovative inline lamination process that bonds membrane-film to membrane -film, replacing stitching and seam-taping with seamless, ultra-durable seams.

Factories that become licensed to produce apparel powered by Cohesive “CIBS” will be supplied with proprietary laminated textiles and adhesives applicable to specific requirements of their final designed product. This can include shell, lining and membranes sourced by the brand/manufacturer or recommended by DSEAMS. The adhesives will be sourced from DSEAMS approved partners.
